The Town of Oxford is hiring a full-time, non-exempt utility clerk in the clerk-treasurer’s office. Applications are available at the Oxford clerk’s office at 105 S. Howard St., Oxford, IN 47971 between 9a-4p, M-F on Friday, October 13, 2023. Hours will be 8a-4p M-F and approximately two hours from about 6:30p-8:30p every first and third Monday, monthly. This position is responsible for billing and collection of town utility services and provides support services to town residents and other town departments. This position reports directly to the town council. Job requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to be bonded by insurance for town financial responsibilities, pre-employment background check, drug test, valid drivers’ license. Previous customer service experience, office and computer experience is preferred. Benefits offered include health, vision, dental, and life insurance; 457 retirement; vacation, personal, sick, paid holidays, flex, and compensatory time. Utility bill payments may be placed in the brown mailbox to the left of the town hall door, or online at www.invoicecloud.com/oxfordin (service fee applies). Payments may also be made at a teller window of Alliance Bank branch in Oxford during regular banking hours.
Trash services will be affected by the holiday; collection will be on Tuesday, September 7th.
The regular Town Council meeting scheduled for Monday, September 6th has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 7th.
